Colonial Country Club // Pennsylvania Wedding Videography

Up on the blog is a gorgeous wedding from the Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg, PA.  I’ve known Maddie and Travis since we were kids.  I’m talking like 10, maybe 11.  When they asked for Matt Stambaugh Films to capture their wedding day, I was stoked.  It’s always such an honor to be able to provide a film for years to come.  We offer insight in to your legacy.  Something you can show your family YEARS down the line.  Capturing at the Colonial Country Club is really nice.  Granted I live about 4 minutes away, they run a tight ship and let us get creative.  It’s awesome.

Maddie and Travis were a blast to work with.  They were down for anything and the day went so smoothly.  The entire day was spent at Colonial and the one thing I love about the property is the light.  There is some GORGEOUS light for bride prep and groom prep.  It’s really a key part to help make couples look the absolute best during prep.  From that point on, we were pumped.  Travis wrote Maddie a letter that was really unstoppable.  So well written, and the reaction from Maddie was perfect.  It was really cool being able to incorporate the bottom of Travis’s shoes in to the film.  When we are moving on the fly for weddings, our minds are constantly turning with how can we incorporate this in to the film, in a creative way, that makes sense.  Most of the time when we film, we shoot for a sequence.  When we shoot, we are shooting with the edit in mind of how it will be pieced together in post.  During prep, we listen for those conversations that make sense for a film, we look for the fine details.  Typically during bride / groom prep, we are looking for 5-7 second shots, and then for certain instances, rinse and repeat with a different angle so we can really tell your story to the best ability.  Maddie and Travis understood it from the get go and let us do our thing.  It was incredible.

Head to the ceremony where Travis got to see his bride for the first time all day.  With one of the longest isle’s in the area, the anticipation was tough for Travis I can only imagine.  The key moment from my wedding day I remember is seeing Courtney for the first time as she walked down the isle.  It’s easily one of my favorite parts of a wedding day.

From there, the rest of the day was history and went off without a hitch.  Gorgeous light, great toasts and a packed dance floor really made their wedding day perfect.

Enjoy some of our favorite video stills along with their trailer and film!

Pennsylvania Wedding Videographer // Moonstone Manor

Nestled in the hills of Central Pennsylvania, Moonstone Manor is one incredible wedding venue.  Pennsylvania Wedding VideographyFor your You get a little bit of everything.  Foliage, locations for photos / video, a central location, and a gorgeous property.  I highly recommend it!

Kim and Eddie were a blast to work with.  Their personalities are incredible and their wedding day matched just that.  I love these two!  Their wedding day was pretty crazy weather wise!  I’m here to tell you, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a day like theirs.  It was sunny, it poured, it thunder-stormed, we had a sunset session and ended the day with fireworks in the night sky.

Friends and family joined Kim and Eddie from all over the world.  One of the best surprises of the day was when Kim had practiced her vows in Spanish.  Eddie was nearly knocked off his feet when she spoke the first few words of her vows in Spanish.  I don’t think he expected it one bit!

We worked with a dream team of vendors!

Historic Acres of Hershey // Marie and Tom

Ok.  It’s been a long while since the last update, and that’s enough of that I say.  Marie and Tom, married in Hershey, PA.  Two incredible humans.  One incredible wedding and one of the best wedding professionals all in one place, at one time.  Seriously.  When you have a killer group of professionals working together, not only does it create a smooth flowing day but also creates the best wedding day you could ask for.

Before this year, I haven’t worked at Historic Acres of Hershey, but have known the venue well.  After working at it twice.  I highly recommend it.  Easily one of the most fun venues for a wedding in Central PA.

Tom and Marie were such a blast to work with.  We were lucky enough to film Marie’s brothers wedding many years ago when Matt Stambaugh Films first started out, and being asked back to film her wedding is the perfect way of saying we did a good job.  Word of mouth is the best type of marketing.  Hands Down.

Enjoy Tom and Marie’s Film and don’t forget to check out their killer vendor list at the bottom.

Gear List: For Tom and Marie’s wedding, we were able to shoot with a variety of gear.  I absolutely LOVE the Canon C100’s for weddings.  Lens selection included Canon L glass sprinkled with some Sigma Art Lenses.  Often times audio is the main thing that worries us about a wedding, and we have found the perfect gear pack with a huge thanks to Joe Simon years ago which includes the Olympus DM-620 and a Matchstick mic.

York, PA Wedding // Jessica and Zeke

Jessica and Zeke are the two sweetest, and most loving you will meet. When they originally booked, we used Skype for our initial meeting and I could easily tell how easy going they were. The way they described their wedding day, I was hooked immediately. Rather than a time sensitive day, we had all of the time in the world and everything was so laid back. Fast forward a few months, and we met at Lancaster Brewing Company for a fun evening for dinner and a few drinks. My wife Courtney also joined which made the night even more special. It’s rare that we both get to go out with couple’s but when Jessica asked for Courtney to come, I knew Jessica and Zeke were so friendly.

On to their wedding day. Their prep, ceremony and mini-cocktail hour cookout took place on location at Zeke’s parents farm right on top of the Susquehanna River. With one of the most gorgeous views I saw in a long time, these two had the most perfect wedding spot. From that moment on, we were blessed with great weather, an awesome bridal party and some of the best photographers I’ve ever worked with (Jeremy Hess Photography). Specifically Amber, Mark and Jeremy. They were so easy to work with and for video, working with great photographers helps our day go by seamlessly.

Jessica and Zeke’s wedding vows were one of a kind. Really. They both wouldn’t mind being stuck in a cardboard box with one another. And the funny thing is, unknowingly both included that statement in their vows. I mean seriously. How perfect. Their family and friends joined in one of the most heartfelt celebrations I’ve seen in a long time. We jetted around their property for some photos while their guests enjoyed an incredible cocktail hour.

Soon after, we headed to their reception location in Red Lion, PA, right outside of York. It was such a unique location. Located above a guitar shop. There was so much character. After their first dance, and parent dances, their night went off without a hitch and guests danced into the night.

Titus Touch (DJ Mark) did an incredible job throughout the entire evening and really made it one to remember!

Jessica and Zeke, the both of you are perfect. Don’t ever change.

Check out some of our favorite video stills from their wedding day and check out their feature film as well!!

Cambridge, MD Wedding Videography // Quron and Jordan

Jordan and Q are inseparable. Last year, Jordan was the Make-Up artist for one of Matt Stambaugh Films brides. When Jordan and Q became engaged, she reached out and asked me to film her wedding. One of the best feelings in the world is to have another wedding industry professional trust in you for their wedding film. Meeting Jordan and Q, their personalities are amazing and their wedding day was just as awesome. From Q getting a quick cut before his big day on a porch, to their first look in an amazing location, to some of the best vows I’ve ever heard and a dance party I will NEVER forget, their day was perfect. I can’t wait to start their film, but here is a little teaser from their day!

It enjoyable filming Q and Jordan’s Destination Wedding in Cambridge MD and we wish you the absolute best!
