I’m finding that not only do I love what I do, but I absolutely love the couples I have the pleasure of working with. Insert Amanda and Taylor, the two sweetest and most kind people I’ve ever met. I had the opportunity to meet with Amanda a few times before the wedding and unfortunately due to Taylor’s work schedule, I couldn’t meet him in person. However, Amanda let me know all about Taylor and I felt like I knew him the day of. I had the pleasure of working at the Stone Barn Winery and Vineyard last year and was VERY excited to shoot there again. Not only does the Stone Barn offer a wedding feel unlike any other venue, Shane and his wife are the two best owners of a venue I’ve ever met. They work with their couples to create the perfect wedding day!
Also over the past few years, I’ve been following Katelyn James Photography on Facebook and online and with Amanda and Taylor really wanting the best, they hired Katelyn! It was an honor getting to work with Katelyn and Michael in capturing Taylor and Amanda’s wedding.
On the way up to the venue, Jon (my second shooter) and I were talking about how the day was going to go. I dropped Jon off to start filming the property and I headed to the Selinsgrove Inn to meet Amanda and the girls for the final details of their prep. Seriously, the bridesmaid dresses were some of the coolest I’ve seen and Amanda’s dress; absolutely loved it. The flower on the dress was jazzed up by Amanda’s mom and I really loved how she incorporated the colors of her bridesmaid’s dresses.
After the prep, we headed to the Stone Barn for their first look (which I highly recommend in order to get the most time out of your wedding day) and a portrait session following. The sun came out and it was an INCREDIBLE day. We had so much time and so much sun that it was one of the best portrait sessions in a long time!! Family and friends were playing the yard games, eating and drinking during cocktail hour and having the time of their life. Deep into the night, Seth from Mixmaster Productions out of Williamsport kept the music rolling all night long and continued to keep all of Amanda and Taylor’s guests dancing the night away.
Amanda and Taylor, it was an honor being able to capture your wedding day, and I can’t wait to work on your feature film! Below is the feature film and some of our favorite stills from the trailer! There are so many more details to work into the feature film, along with some custom music, so I can’t wait to begin on their film!
